Jennifer R. Lewis Kannegieter, Attorney at Law, is dedicated to providing her clients with prompt, professional, personal service in the areas of family law, estate planning, and probate.
Jennifer was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Her interest in law started early and grew through her participation in the Minnesota High School Mock Trial program.
Jennifer received her Bachelor's of Science in Paralegal from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. Jennifer continued her involvement with mock trial, this time with the American Mock Trial Association, competing on the Winona State team for four years, serving as President of the team for three. While pursuing her degree, Jennifer worked as a paralegal at the Winona County Attorney's office and volunteered for the law program at Chrysalis in Minneapolis.
After graduating from Winona State University, Jennifer attended Hamline University School of Law where she focused on family law, juvenile law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and estate planning. She observed court proceedings while completing a Judicial Practicum in Hennepin County Juvenile Court and gained experience in representing clients in the Child Advocacy Clinic. Throughout law school, Jennifer continued to volunteer with Chrysalis and gained invaluable experience working for family law attorney Stacy Wright
Jennifer now lives in Monticello, Minnesota with her husband, Josh, and their dog, Willie. Jennifer is an active member of the community. She continues her involvement with the Minnesota High School Mock Trial program, serving as a volunteer attorney coach to the Spring Lake Park High School team. She continues to volunteer with Chrysalis and is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, serving as a New Lawyers Section liaison member to both the Animal Law and the Probate & Trust sections.
